Tv crime reporter arrested in Australia

Dutch tv crime reporter Peter R de Vries was arrested in Australia on Friday, his colleague Kees van der Spek told news agency ANP.

De Vries was arrested as he was trying to deliver a letter to a man he suspects of having murdered Mariska Mast in 2008. The charge is suspected house breaking.
The 23-year-old Mast was on holiday in Honduras when she died under suspicious circumstances. She was on a diving course and a British-Australian diving instructor was arrested in connection with her death.
The man was later freed but his passport was confiscated. With dual nationality, he was able to use a second passport to flee Honduras. De Vries and his team traced him to the Australian city of Perth.
Van der Spek witnessed the arrest.
