Turnover in the payrolling sector rose 11% in the second quarter of this year as an increasing number of companies hand their salary administration to third parties.

In particular, there has been a sharp increase in long-term contracts, which now account for 25% of sales, the sector organisation VPO said. The ANP report did not give financial details.
The payroll sector employs 90,000 people. The retail trade, hospitality industry and government departments are most likely to use payrolling services.
