Light rail project opens

The RandstadRail light rail line connecting the central stations of The Hague and Rotterdam opened for passengers on Tuesday morning.

The line, which is aimed at commuters, is an extension of the light rail that has been running between The Hague and Zoetermeer since 2006.

Travel time between the two city stations is 30 minutes and trains run at 10 minute intervals.
