Arnhem station reopens
Monday 23 August 2010
Arnhem station reopened on Monday following four weeks' closure for extensive renovations, during which a tunnel and a new cycle and pedestrian bridge were constructed and new rails and overhead cables were laid.
The work is not yet finished although the station will not have to be closed again, reports the Telegraaf. In October there will be a bus service between Arnhem and Arnhem Velperpoort. In 2011 a number of rail lines and a platform will be renewed, which could lead to a reduced service.
