Right wing parties to discuss progress with MPs on FridayThursday 29 July 2010 The leaders of the three right-wing parties holding exploratory talks about forming a new coalition government are to discuss progress so far with their MPs on Friday, the Volkskrant reports, quoting party sources. . Mark Rutte, leader of the right-wing Liberals VVD, Geert Wilders of the anti-Islam PVV and Christian Democrat leader Maxime Verhagen have had four days of talks about talks so far. Sources say the likelihood of the three parties reaching an agreement on a new government is increasing. Islamsharp For example, the disagreement between Verhagen and Wilders about Islam has been solved and the parties have begun talking about potential spending cuts, the paper says. The paper does not say what solution has been found for the PVV's wish to ban the Koran, introduce a tax on Muslim headscarves and end immigration from non-Western countries. One option being considered is that two of the three parties - possibly the VVD and CDA - form a minority cabinet with PVV support in parliament. Deadline Cabinet negotiator Ruud Lubbers has given the three parties until Saturday to decide if they wish to start formal talks on a coalition agreement. He will then report back to queen Beatrix who will appoint a new negotiator to actually lead the process.
