El Hamdaoui move to Ajax in doubt

What was thought to have been a signed and sealed deal between AZ and Ajax over the transfer of striker Mounir El Hamdaoui is now in doubt, the AD reports on Thursday.

The clubs have agreed about the transfer fee but Ajax will not agree to El Hamdaoui's salary demands, the paper says.

'He has said no so we are looking at others,' the paper quotes Ajax coach Martin Jol as saying after the Amsterdam club's 1-1 draw against PAOK of Greece on Wednesday evening. 'If he wants to think about it, that is fine by me.'
