Dutch Moroccans feel at home in Holland

Some 81% of the young Moroccan Dutch fell at home in the Netherlands, compared with an average of 76% of Moroccans in other European countries, the NRC reports on Thursday.

They are also more likely to trust the education system, police and justice ministry officials than in other countries, the poll shows.
But at the same time, 79% think the native Dutch have a very bad image of people of Moroccan origin. The average across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain and Italy is 54%.
The Netherlands is also the only one of six countries surveyed where more than half of Moroccan families are supporting someone in their country of origin.
The NRC says 2,601 people aged 19 to 34 took part in the poll, but did not say who carried out the research.
