Akzo Nobel targets double turnover in China

Chemicals company AkzoNobel wants to double its turnover in China within the next five years, and has set a sales target of $3bn by 2015.


China will play an integral role in the company’s strategic focus on growth regions, CEO Hans Wijers said in a statement.
Wijers was speaking at the presentation of the AkzoNobel Science Awards at the Shanghai World Expo.
Akzo Nobel currently employs around 6,500 people in China and the country is home to 11% of the company’s R&D resources.
