Ziggo starts search for new CEO: FD

Cable company Ziggo is looking for a new CEO who can lead the company if owners Cinven and Warburg Pincus opt for a stock exchange flotation, sources have told the Financieele Dagblad.

Current CEO Bernard Dijkhuizen is 62 and will not be able to commit for four or five years following an IPO, but new shareholders will want long-term commitment, the paper says.
The lack of local talent means that headhunters are looking abroad for likely candidates and a British headhunting firm has already been appointed, the sources said.
Cinven and Warburg Pincus put Ziggo together between 2004 and 2006 for a total €5.2bn.
