The Volkskrant on Monday has published a rectification of its weekend splash on the effect of the main parties’ plans on spending power.

The paper had asked research institute Nyfer to look at the effects of party policies on six typical families and headlined on the fact that the CDA, D66 and VVD plans would lead to cuts in spending power for pensioners.
But it now transpires Nyfer made some errors in its calculations and the differences between left and right ‘are not as great’ as first thought.
