Internet may be slower because of football streams

Internet is expected to run more slowly than usual on Monday afternoon as Nos tv pumps a maximum 120,000 live streams of the Netherlands – Denmark football match to people who are not close to a tv, the broadcasting organisation said.

There are warnings that even direct debit payments in shops may be subject to delays because of the threatened system overload.
