Stay away from the PVV, says former CDA premier

Former Christian Democrat prime minister Dries van Agt has told website nu.nl he would be forced to reconsider his party membership if the CDA linked up in a coalition with Geert Wilders’ PVV.

‘I would have great difficulty remaining a CDA member,’ he said. ‘The PVV is a racist party and our basic principles include a rejection of racism.’
Van Agt is the third CDA elder statesman to speak out against a coalition with the PVV.
