Smoking suitcase was no threat
A ruptured, smoking suitcase found on a KLM fight which arrived in Houston from Amsterdam on Tuesday evening posed no threat and was damaged by an external heat source, international news agencies said.
The suitcase, which appeared to have smoke coming out of it, was found by a baggage handler who alerted the emergency services.
