Pink light may drive away teen gangs

Scientists are to begin experimenting with a special sort of pink light to see if it can be used to drive away groups of teenagers who cause a nuisance in some areas, the Telegraaf reports on Monday.

The paper says the pink light makes spots and acne much more visible and has been used succesfully in the UK. Now the crime prevention centre is looking into using it here.
A small box known as the mosquito which emits a very high-pitched sound only youngsters can hear is already used in many parts of the country to discourage teenagers from gathering.
