Oranje beat Mexico 2-1 in World Cup warm up

Robin van Persie scored two first-half goals to give the Netherlands a 2-1 victory over Mexico in their World Cup warm up match in Germany on Wednesday evening.

Wesley Sneijder of Inter Milan and Arjen Robben and Mark van Bommel from Bayern Munich were left out of the line up to allow them more recovery time after last weekend’s Champions League final.
It was the final game for the Dutch squad before coach Bert van Marwijk announces his final 23-man squad for the South African championships.
