Man jailed for child murder committed 18 years ago
A 49-year old man from Enschede has been sentenced to 12 years in jail and detention in a psychiatric prison for the rape and murder of an eight year old girl 18 years ago.
Police identified the man after a positive dna match stemming from his arrest on suspicion of child abuse and distributing child pornography last June.
The man lived opposite the girl and was investigated following the murder.
Earlier this month, a 41-year-old man confessed to murdering a 15-year-old school girl in 1993 after a DNA check proved positive.
