Inflation edges up marginally

The official Dutch inflation rate rose to 1.1% in April, the national statistics office CBS said on Tuesday.

The increase of 0.1 percentage point is due to a rise in the cost of flying, the CBS said. Plane tickets have risen in price by 12.6% compared with a year ago. Higher vegetable prices have also added to inflation.
Inflation in the eurozone as a whole is now twice as high as it is in the Netherlands.
