Frans Bauer's hit Heb je even voor mij (have you got a little time for me) has been voted most irritating Dutch-language song of all time by visitors to Dutch music website NLTracks.
Second on the list is Shalalie by Sieneke, the Netherlands' entry for this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
It is just unfair to pick on Franz Bauer and accuse him of making the most irritating song in the Dutch langauge. Any discerning music lover will tell you that all pop songs sung in the Dutch language are painfully irritating. Well. actually, I do like ¨Rood¨by Marco Borsato but all the rest are awful!! :-)

I've heard quite a few Dutch songs, and I will assume that choosing the "most irritating" was a close contest. ;>

It's not so bad, I've heard much worse, but why does the Netherlands or the world need yet another 1980s-Ibiza-Tralalala "Hit"?

Unfortunately, with few exceptions, the Dutch language is not particularly well suited for song. In order to tolerate Dutch singing requires a nationalistic predisposition and/or a tin ear. And sadly, to appreciate Franz Bauer one needs to be all of that as well as blind.
