‘Dutch child only survivor of Tripoli plane crash’
A Dutch child may be the only survivor of Wednesday morning’s plane crash at Tripoli airport in Libya, a local official told international news agencies.
The Dutch foreign affairs ministry has confirmed a number of Dutch nationals were on board the plane, which came down shortly before landing.
But reports about the lone survivor are conflicting, with some saying it is an eight-year-old girl, others a nine-year-old boy.
The Afriqiyah Airways flight from Johannesburg had 104 people on board, 93 passengers and 11 crew. The Airbus 330 crashed as it was coming into land.
