Waste processor Van Gansewinkel considers IPO

Waste processing group Van Gansewinkel, currently owned by private equity groups KKR and CVC, plans to raise money for acquisitions and debt reduction with a flotion on the Amsterdam stock exchange, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Wednesday.

The move would also allow the private equity groups to reduce their stakes in the firm, the paper says, quoting CEO Ruud Sondag.
‘We are ready for the next stage,’ Sondag told the paper. ‘That could be done via a financial or strategic party but we would prefer an IPO.’
Sondag said he did not expect a stock exchange launch this year but 2011 was very probable if the bourse climate is right.
Last week another Dutch private-equity owned company, chip maker NXP, said it is preparing for an IPO in New York.
