Utrecht gets centre-left administration
Friday 19 March 2010
The left-wing greens GroenLinks, Labour and the Liberal democrats D66 will form a new council executive body in Utrecht, councillors agreed on Thursday evening.
GroenLinks, which pulled out of the previous administration in 2009 because of a row about a €1.5bn road project, emerged as the biggest party in the city after the local elections.
It has 10 seats on the 45-seat council. Labour and D66 both have nine.
