Storm damage in Limburg

Monday 01 March 2010

The storm which swept across parts of Europe on Sunday evening, killing at least 50 people, caused some damage in parts of Limburg as it passed through.

Train and bus services were halted for a time because trees had been blown down and there was some structural damage to buildings.

In Hoensbroek and Helden, trees came down on parked cars and in several towns streets were closed off because of the risk of falling roof panels.
