More holidays at home last year

Dutch holiday parks and camp sites saw combined turnover rise 4% last year, the strongest growth since 2002, the national statistics office CBS said on Wednesday.

Some 80% of the people staying in holiday accommodation were Dutch. The CBS said the crisis had forced more people to spend their vacations in the Netherlands.
