Labour remains biggest party in polls
Friday 26 March 2010
Labour still has a clear lead over the other main parties in the latest Synovate opinion poll for tv current affairs show Nova.
The poll gives Labour 33 seats, the same as it currently has in the 150 seat parliament and the same as last week's poll. The party has been boosted by the appointment of Amsterdam mayor Job Cohen as campaign leader.
The Christian Democrats are in second place on 27, down from 41 in the current parliament.
The poll puts Geert Wilders' PVV on 22, down one from last week but still 13 more seats than the party currently has.
The Liberal party VVD is on 21 seats, also the same as its current total.
The general election takes place on June 9.
