New Labour leader Job Cohen is Dutch employers’ favourite for the next prime minister, according to a poll by BNR radio and Intomart Gfk.

Although the VVD Liberal party is employers’ party of choice, 34% say Cohen is the best candidate in terms of the economy. VVD leader Mark Rutte has the backing of 22%.
Liberal democrat leader Alexander Pechtold has the support of 14% of employers and current prime minister Jan Peter Balkenende just 12%.
Employers’ favourite coalition government is a combination of the VVD, D66 and Labour.
