Convicted bomb maker to return to Holland

A Dutch Iraqi, found guilty of setting roadside bombs in Iraq by an American court, is to return to the Netherlands to serve out his sentence in April, the Telegraaf reports on Monday.

Al-Delaema was extradited to the United States in 2007 after he was identified on video footage which showed him burying roadside bombs.
The agreement that he can serve his sentence in a Dutch jail was part of the extradition agreement. The 25 year sentence will also be converted to Dutch standards, the Telegraaf said.
The Iraqi-born Dutch national was the first terrorist suspected of planting roadside bombs in Iraq to be tried in the United States.
