Access, Optiver, Brodin win expat awards

Volunteer organisation Access was named winner of the first expat service provider of the year award on Tuesday night.

DutchNews.nl was one of the five nominees for the prize, which was awarded on the basis of of public votes and a professional jury.

The award for expat employer of the year went to brokerage Optiver, while Sueli Brodin, the driving force behind the Maastricht-based Crossroads website was unanimously named expat of the year.

would like to know about Sueli Brodin; never heard of them, very weak excuse but no surprise: I live in New Zealand, "if you go any farther out East you'll fall off the world..." :-)

I never heard of the above nominees in my 11 years life in the Netherland. Am I hybernated ????????????????????/

Access, the winner, has been around providing Ex-pats with accurate advice and help for about 23 years, I think, but mainly hidden away for 21 years.

Well done Access and thanks for the valuable help you gave me.

They are now easy to find in Den Haag as they are in the Stadhuis, next to the Gemeente ExPat Desk.

They are also in Amsterdam I believe but I've not been there.
