Wilders’ witness list published today

Amsterdam court will on Wednesday announce how it plans to proceed in the trial of anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders on inciting hatred and discrimination charges.

Wilders wants to call 18 witnesses in his defence, including Mohammed Bouyeri, who murdered film maker Theo van Gogh, and radical the Hague imam Jneid Fawaz.
His defence rests not only on freedom of speech arguments but on proving he spoke the truth.
The prosecution does not plan to call any witnesses and wants Wilders to be heard by an examining magistrate away from the courtroom, because of the risk of public order problems.
