Wilders ducks out of radio election debateFriday 05 February 2010 PVV leader Geert Wilders has opted out of Sunday's traditional radio election debate with other party leaders, stating that public broadcaster Nos is 'useless' and has kept him dangling on a string for too long. The leaders of the two orthodox Christian parties have also pulled out because the local election debate is taking place on a Sunday. Nos declined to comment on Wilders' refusal to take part, but said it had not been given any reason by the anti-immigration party leader. Wilders said he will take part in the two televised Nos debates on February 15 and March 1. The local elections take place on March 3. The leaders of the local PVV election campaigns in both Almere and the Hague also failed to show up for the opening public debates with other parties. According to local polls, the PVV is set to attract 16% of the vote in the new town of Almere. © DutchNews.nl Get the DutchNews.nl newsletter in your mailbox: Click here to subscribe
