PSV draws, Twente closes gap
Premier division leader PSV could only manage a 1-1 draw against relegation candidate Sparta of Rotterdam on Sunday.
The Eindhoven side led until injury time when subsitute Rydell Poepon snatched the equaliser.
FC Twente’s 1-0 victory over Willem II of Tilburg allowed it to narrow the gap with PSV to just one point. PSV is on 62 points from 24 matches and Twente on 61.
Number three in the premier division Ajax had no difficulty seeing off Arnhem site Vitesse 4-0. Ajax is trailing PSV by seven points but has set its sights on Champions League football next season.
