New poll puts Labour equal to Wilders´ PVV
Friday 26 February 2010
The Labour party´s decision to bow out of the government following divisions over Afghanistan has boosted the party´s popularity considerably, according to a second opinion poll
The new Synovate poll puts the Labour party on 27 seats, six more than the previous poll and equal to the support of Geert Wilders´anti-islam PVV.
The Labour performance is still six down on its vote at the 2006 general election. The PVV has nine seats.
The CDA remains the biggest party in the Synovate poll, with 31 seats, down 10 on its total at the last election.
A poll by Maurice de Hond just after the cabinet fell also showed a large surge in support for Labour.
