Den Bosch 'bomber' is a disturbed man

Tuesday 09 February 2010

Police have arrested a man who claimed to have placed a bomb on a train at Den Bosch station on Tuesday morning, causing major disruption to train users for much of the day.

According to eye witnesses quoted by news agency ANP, the man, dressed in a white robe and green coat, told other people in the train compartment he had activated a bomb.

The station and surrounding buildings were cleared while police searched for explosives. A special sniffer dog was used in the hunt.

All train services were suspended until the all clear was given in the early afternoon.

Sources told ANP the man was not a terrorist but a 'disturbed' individual.

Wouldn't a bomber (terrorist) fall under this 'disturbed' individual'catagory, too?

A terrorist is a malignantly disturbed person, this one was a benign one.

Very well & politely put AW: Most bombers are probably theologically brainwashed, as well as suffering from ADHD in it's most extreme form.

Deprogram these loonies or give them work in an open mine: then they can blast away to their heart's content making little rocks out of big ones...

Yes yes yes .AW . They all should be locked up in a mental hospital for treatment , not to be released until judged to have been cured .
However long that might take !!!!

Terrorist are mentally disturb people no doubt. We must keep in mind that physical causes of disease must be sought just like those of other natural phenomenon.

If the bomb had exploded and killed someone i wonder would they have still just have called him 'disturbed'? You notice his nationality, religion etc want mentioned... because he was probably dutch! in the media the terrorist tag solely belongs to those of muslim and/or middle eastern origin and that would have been a point made in the article.instead the point made was that he was NOT a terrorist ONLY mnetally disturbed! hmmm ok thats alright then..(??) Terrorists are not the only group of people who are brainwashed!

agree with Jennifer. Why can't we make clear distinctions and why do we keep assuming? There are a lot of types of terrorists (try googling at least?) and various intentions behind their actions, not just religious. Frankly, not that I sympathize with any of it, but i think there might be many terrorists who are not mentally disturbed (unless you wanna curse them with this phrase), does this sound wrong? if you're against something, make sure you're not automatically against other things attached to it.
