The Netherlands in grip of brief cold snapTuesday 26 January 2010 The north of the Netherlands is in the grip of a brief very cold snap, with temperatures down to as much as -12 Celsius on the IJsselmeer on Monday night. But in the south and Zeeland, temperatures barely dipped under zero, the KNMI weather bureau said. It will remain well below freezing all day in the north. On Tuesday night, thermometers will dip as low as -15 Celsius but it will feel even colder in the wind.
