Most internet providers not fast enough

Most Dutch internet service providers do not meet the download speeds they promise subscribers, according to research by the consumers association Consumentenbond, quoted by news agency ANP.

ADSL providers which promise speeds of 20Mb find it hard to achieve speeds of 10Mb, the association said. Cable firms do better, with Ziggo reaching 80% of the promised download speed and UPC 62%.
If actual speeds are compared to subscription prices, KPN and XS4LL emerge as very expensive and UPC is the cheapest, ANP quotes the association as saying.
