Wintry weather boosts internet shops
The Dutch internet retailers association expects Christmas sales to be up some 40% this year, as the wintry weather keeps shoppers at home, Nos tv reported on Tuesday.
The total value of online retail sales will be up between 20% and 25% on 2008, the association Thuiswinkel.org said.
For example, internet book, computer game and video shop Bol.com said on Monday Christmas-related sales were double the 2008 total..
