PSV through, Heerenveen out of Europe

PSV Eindhoven goes through to the knock-out stage of the Europa Leage as group K winners, following a 2-0 victory over CFR Cluj in Romania on Wednesday night.

But Friesland club Heerenveen is out, despite a 5-0 win over Lithuanian side FK Ventspils. A 1-0 victory by Hertha BSC Berlin over Sporting Clube of Portugal gave the German side the second group D ticket.

Amsterdam's Ajax, which has already qualified for the round of 32, and FC Twente are in action on Thursday night.
