Central bank chief sombre about economy
Central bank president Nout Wellink has repeated his warning that it is too early to be optimistic about the country’s economy. The impression that everything will be alright is misguided said Wellink in a radio interview on Thursday morning.
Wellink said that unemployment figures will grow by hundreds of thousands and that the recovery is still extremely fragile. He also did not rule out further setbacks for the economy pointing to the current financial problems in Dubai and Greece.
