Avoid rush hour, Dutch Rail tells passsengers

Dutch Rail has urged travellers to avoid using the trains during Thursday’s rush hour because dozens of services have been cancelled, the Telegraaf reports.

The snow which hit the north and east of the country last night is set to move to the west later today, and NS says it wants to make sure that all trains can actually reach their destinations.
Regional bus services in Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe provinces were suspended on Thursday following the heavy snowfall.
A spokesman for bus firm Qbuzz told the Telegraaf it would be irresponsible to take their vehicles on the road because of the weather. The company will decide on Thursday evening whether to resume services on Friday.
