Ajax thrash amateurs 14-1

Amsterdam's Ajax slaughtered the eastern Dutch amateur club WHC 14-1 on Wednesday night to qualify for the quarter-finals of the football association (KNVB) cup.
There were few surprises in the rest of Wednesday's matches with FC Twente and NAC Breda easily beating weaker opposition.
In the toughest game of the evening, FC Groningen lost 2-0 at home to premier league rivals NEC of Nijmegen.
Earlier this week, Rotterdam’s two premier league clubs Feyenoord and Sparta both qualified for the quarter-finals, as did Go Ahead Eagles of Deventer.
