Younger boys no longer murder suspects

Two boys aged 12 and 13 are no longer considered suspects in the killing of 14 year old Dirk Post in the fishing village of Urk, the public prosecution department said on Thursday.


A 15-year-old youth is still in custody in connection with the death. Post’s body was found in woods near the village last week a day after he was reported missing by his parents.
The lawyer of the 13-year-old said earlier this week that all four boys had gone into the woods last Wednesday. When the 15-year-old took out a knife, the two younger boys fled. Later they saw main suspect Jaap van der H with blood on his clothes, the lawyer said in the Telegraaf..
