Security weak at queen's office: tv show

Monday 16 November 2009

Security is to be tightened up at queen Beatrix's offices in the Hague after two tv reporters managed to smuggle a fake bomb inside the grounds.

The reporters for tv show Undercover in Nederland arrived at the entrance to Paleis Noordeinde in a van, claiming to have an appointment to check up on dry rot. The van, which contained fake dynamite, was allowed in without any problems.

MPs have asked home affairs minister Guusje ter Horst to investigate security at the palace and the poor response of the military police guards when they discovered something was wrong, the Telegraaf reports.
