Longest serving football coach to move on

Ron Jans, chief coach at FC Groningen since October 2002, is to leave the northern football club after the current season.
His eight-season run at Groningen means Jans, 51, is the longest-serving trainer in professional Dutch football.
Jans took Groningen into European football in 2006 and 2007 and reached the play-offs for a European ticket this year. Groningen is currently 12th in the premier division and still in the Dutch cup competition.
