Employers oppose cabinet with WildersThursday 12 November 2009 A new government involving Geert Wilders' anti-Islam party PVV would be unstable and 'not do much good' for Dutch industry, a senior employers representative says in Thursday's Volkskrant. Niek Jan van Kesteren, who is number two at the VNO-NCW employers organisation, said: 'We have an open economy. We are helped by the fact there are no restrictions in terms of skin colour and religion and have an equal jobs market for everyone.' The main reason foreign firms based themselves in the Netherlands is the independent legal system, the transparent tax set-up and stable government, he said. The PVV could damage these institutions, the Volkskrant quoted him as saying. A government involving the Socialist Party would also be unstable, Van Kesteren told the paper. The PVV has nine seats in the current parliament but opinion polls show it may emerge as the biggest party after the next election in 2011. © DutchNews.nl Get the DutchNews.nl newsletter in your mailbox: Click here to subscribe
Why? The last time I looked, the world is only 25% Muslim and there are plenty of people from non-Muslim developing countries who would love to live and work in the Netherlands. Wilders does not support restrictions based on skin color (a common liberal demonization) or religion. He doesn't even want to deport anyone. He's just saying no to mass Muslim immigration and that the national Islamization campaign needs to stop dead in its tracks. By JackWorthing | November 12, 2009 8:54 AM AW, I totally agree with you! By sandra | November 12, 2009 10:09 AM I support freedom of speech and worship democracy. I will like to know when did "one man party" ruled our dear country? ... is a party where even democracy has never been even practiced? Only one person elects their leaders? All other things remain secret. what kind of democracy do we want for our children and our children children. "Libya type of democracy" with only Mr. G .Is that .... and majority of his supporters want for our dear nation lol. If it is OK lets experiment it. By kwabena | November 12, 2009 11:13 AM @JackWorthing. He not only oppose mass muslim immigration but also non-western immigration. Most non-westerners are not not white so somehow his opposition focuses on religion and skin. Why doesnt he campaign for more immigration based on skills? By fret | November 12, 2009 11:52 AM Watching the shambolic debate on TV this afternoon.. three things shocked me the most: 1) That the government give time/space to a bunch of extremist thugs like the PVV 2) The PVV spokesman was complaining about "immigration from muslim countries"..and citing Poland as an example! He seemed quite surprised when somebody pointed out that Poland was Catholic. 3) The existing cabinet is quite extremist with the current plans to fingerprint all foreigners, inbuggeringsexams, dark-skinned people to wear yellow coats at night.. and that the Employers seem worried by the SP - virtually the only party not supporting an "Auslander Aus" policy. And they wonder why so many skilled Dutch are emigrating.. By Andy | November 12, 2009 3:34 PM It's obvious that there is a organized effort with the medias help to demonize Wilders before any elections take place, they are more afraid of losing thier power than solving the problems here. Surely in a week there will be another media report with a new "survey" against Wilders and PVV or another "goup" that formally opposes him. By bet | November 12, 2009 5:50 PM I like the new Muslim partij, they are for everyone of all ethinical backgrounds and religions, that is what I call a true democracy. I am fed up with all the anti foreign hatred coming out of this country. As a Jew myself, I am voting for the Muslim partij because this is the only honest political partij in the Netherlands. By Sandra | November 12, 2009 8:21 PM @sandra.Is it the best solution to "religious segregation" which is locking the door of our little society? It is better the whole society should be educate to tolerate each other no matter ones religion or color. If you are angry with the main stream politics then extreme politics is not the best solution either. By kwabena | November 13, 2009 11:13 AM Place your comments: |

"terms of skin colour and religion and have an equal jobs market for everyone." Someone should tell the christian democrats this...open shops on Sunday and more jobs for those who want to work...not everyone is a christian in this country.
