Cartel body fines uncooperative worker
Tuesday 17 November 2009
The anti-cartel body NMa has fined a former worker at a company under investigation €100,000 for refusing to cooperate with the inquiry.
The fine is based on the 'seriousness of the infringement', the NMa said in a statement.
The NMa refused to say which company was involved because the investigation into possible anti-competitive practices is still continuing. However, the financial position of the former staffer who has been fined was taken into account, the NMa said. The maximum fine it can levy for non-cooperation is €450,000.
Four people have been fined previously, one for €4,500, one for €10,000 and two for €150,000 each this July, news agency ANP said.
