AZ in 'painful' defeat by Arsenal

Alkmaar club AZ lost the second leg of its Champions League tie against Arsenal 4-1 in London on Wednesday night.

The defeat made it 'painfully clear' the Dutch champions are not good enough to really compete with the best in Europe, news agency ANP said in its report on the match.

AZ are now bottom of group H with just two points from four matches.
