Just one Dutch university is included in a ranking of the world’s top 50 universities by British newspaper the Times.

The University of Amsterdam debuts at number 49 in the rankings, up from 53 last year, the paper says. The list is dominated by British and American higher eduction institutions. Harvard tops the list followed by Cambridge and Yale.
The UvA is one of just six non-British European universities in the list.
