Housing agency takes Amsterdam to court

Housing agency Direct Wonen is to take legal action against Amsterdam city council for suspending its operating licence, news agency ANP reports.


Direct Wonen, which is listed on London’s AIM stock exchange, is the biggest rental agency in the country and is accused of breaking city council rules and illegally letting out rent-controlled property.
Direct Wonen director Yvonne Swaans told ANP mistakes which had been made were the exception.
