Four still in hospital after petrol station crash
Tuesday 22 September 2009
One person is still in a critical condition in hospital after what is thought to have been a freak accident at a petrol station on the A27 on Monday night.
One person was killed and six injured when a car appeared to drive into the petrol station at full speed and rammed into another which was stationary. Both cars were propelled into the garage shop, causing enormous damage.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident at the garage between Meekerk and Gorinchem and have appealed for witnesses. A spokesman has denied earlier reports the car which caused the crash was stolen, news agency ANP reported.
