Dutch climbers survive 100m fall

Two Dutch climbers have survived a fall of over 100m while climbing in Austria, the Telegraaf reports on Tuesday quoting an Austrian newspaper.

The two were on their way down the 3,800m Grossglockner peak when the accident happened. A 36-year-old man slipped on a glacier and fell, pulling his colleague with him. They were both wearing crampons and were roped together, the paper says. Their fall ended close to a ski station.
The 36-year-old was taken to hospital with severe injuries but the other was uninjured, the paper says.
