Mystery woman killed on motorway

A mystery woman was hit by at least one car and killed while walking along the A7 motorway near Marum on Sunday night.

The woman had no identifying papers with her and police say they have no idea why she was walking along the motorway.

The Groningen-bound side of the motorway was closed off for five hours while police investigated the incident.
